14/01/1979- Sesha Iyer (known as Patta mesh), had been a very active member in Seshadris bhajan troupe. Patta Mesh adorns the following roles during the abhinaya.
1. Gopi complaining to Yasoda about Krishnas navaneetha chora etc through the famous Thaye Yasoda song.
2. The demon Putana
3. Anjaneya
4. Kuchela
5. Chanura
6. Akrura
At one time, Patta mesh became too old and was not able to participate in the bhajans. Seshadri wanted to pay respect to the great bhagavatha who acted as Kuchela in many bhajans. So, he made his daughters dress up like Krishna & Rugmini and then took a procession to Patta meshs house and paid due respect through the hands of Krishna & Rugmini. |
