Sri Sadasiva Dikshita, disciple of Sri Chokkanatha Dikshita, who was the chief of Asthana Vidvans in the court of Chatrapathi Tulaja Maharaja of Thanjavur, who reigned from 1765 to 1787 A.D. He composed Geetha Sundaram describing the leelas of Goddess Meenakshi & Lord Sundareswara. This work of spontaneous outpourings of bhakti of the venerated author strictly follows the same lines as the famous ‘Gita Govindam’, a composition of Ashtapadis on Radha-Krishna by Jayadeva.
